Happy Terrific Tuesdays! We are in Ecuador again during team season, and we are so privileged to have Ilana Hall Lobbezoo here leading a team from Canada. Ilana graduated from high school with us – Class of ’86! – so she is very familiar with Quito.
- What is your job description? Why are you here? I work for the Central Canadian District, which is the western Ontario district of the Alliance in Canada, and I am the missions mobilizer and youth catalyst. I get to promote missions and help the youth pastors connect and promote missions as well, so I am doing both of my jobs on this trip.
- Here she is in Ecuador with youth pastors, children’s pastors and missions pastors, and trying to connect with what God is doing here.
- With the team that came down, what is something you’ve done and that other teams could do as well if they come with Inca Link through Envision? I just heard someone say today that they enjoyed being in the jungle at Ninawachi engaging with the students. We went out and did outreach on Wednesday with them and we could see what they were doing in the communities, and that was so impactful for our team.
- It has been great to have this team here this week. We wanted to thank Ilana and the teams for coming, but also challenge you with something: Maybe your team would like to do urban short-term missions, or rural, or extreme. If God is calling you here, we would love to have you. Learn more here.
God bless you and have a great week.
