Terrific Tuesdays 8-27-24

Happy Terrific Tuesday! We are so excited because there are so many people God brings us that are amazing.

  • We are at the end of the teams season, and it has been a great summer! We are in Quito, Ecuador and we are excited to be a part of what God is doing here.
  • Our Cumbre Alta ministry was able to purchase a property! They were able to raise $1.2 million in just 10 months! Thank you so much to the people who saw what God is doing with the youth in Ecuador and wanted to be a part of something bigger. Cumbre Alta now has the space to build four soccer fields and a stadium. Our team worked very hard, and this is going to have an impact on thousands of families.
  • We are celebrating 18 years of Inca Link! All we remember is that when we got married, we said, “The only thing we don’t want to do is work with young people.” But God put us in all these circumstances and after 15 years, we realized God was calling us to reach the 300 million youth of Latin America with Christ’s irresistible love. Nine countries and 28 projects later, God continues to bless Inca Link, and we are super grateful for that.
  • Here’s the staff we are celebrating this month:
  1. Jake and Jenn Edwards – It’s their three-year anniversary with Inca Link. We first met Jenn in Honduras, and we immediately saw in her and her husband people that squint their eyes and ears to see and hear what God is doing, and they have the guts to obey. Right now, they are directing our ministry in Costa Rica and doing an amazing job. They have two adorable kids, Sunday and Izzy. God has gifted us with such great callings, people that impress on us to continue to walk by faith. There are so many ministries starting in Costa Rica: Tucántico coffee shop, Inca Lengua Spanish/English learning, and Cumbre Alta basketball and soccer programs.
  2. Santiago and Venita – Venita has been with Inca Link for 10 years and Santiago has been with us for eight years! They started as students and teachers at Ninawachi, then running the maintenance at the school. They now run the entire ministry and go out to the surrounding jungle communities to encourage people to come closer to Jesus. It is amazing when our nationals can take over a ministry and take it to the next level. They have a daughter named Ally Hadasha, who goes with them to the different communities even though sometimes they have to walk the trails for days.
  3. Carlos and Ale Soto – They have been with Inca Link for three years working in Honduras. They will continue to be in the Casa Onesíforo ministry, but they are currently transitioning where Carlos will be the executive director and Ale will be the president of Inca Link Honduras. Already, their enthusiasm and love for the Lord and for people is exciting. Carlos has also led the e625 ministry in Honduras with thousands of churches represented. It is fun to see how God is using several organizations to reach the youth of Latin America.

Thank you for being with us. We are on our Casablanca property, and we are super grateful for what God has done here and what he continues to do in Inca Link. God bless you.
