Terrific Tuesdays 12-17-24

Happy Terrific Tuesday! We are super grateful because we are at the end of 2024. It was a hard year for us, but God has done amazing things.

  • Have you caught the Cumbre Alta docuseries Owl City? The last episode comes out today! Watch it here.
  • Many participated in last year’s campaign to help Cumbre Alta, where God far exceeded our expectations through you and us together. This year, our year-end campaign supports Zoe Home, and we would love for you to be a part of this opportunity to help dysfunctional families in Bogota, Colombia, through discipleship. We have $40,000 in matching funds and we have raised $12,000 so far! We would love for you to be a part of this.
  • This whole year, we have celebrated our heroes every second Tuesday of the month. We think our team is fantastic. We have so many heroes, there’s no way we can get to all of them, so we might have to do it again next year! But we want to honor the following heroes:
  1. Joca and Alex – Joca has been with us for a LONG time. He was a teen in the Alliance church where we were the youth pastors. He started Inca Thakhi when God called him to do something for his community. Joca has a gift in discipleship. Then, God gave him another gift through Alex. She’s from Canada and they met when she was an intern. Alex was also called to disciple people in Peru; and they started a relationship, fell in love, got married, and had two amazing boys. We are so grateful for them and the gift they have of discipling others. They will soon be moving to Canada, where Alex will be the executive director of Inca Link Canada, helping us mobilize in different churches. We can’t wait to see how God uses them in 2025.
  2. Tyler Peffer – He is one of our main people because, if you have ever been on our webpage, you know he is super creative. He designed the whole webpage, our Inca Link logos, as well as other ministry logos. He is a great graphic designer and leader of our communications team. We are grateful for the two years he has been with us and hope it’s many more.
  3. Richie – He has been a great blessing in Costa Rica. He had gone through the whole process of becoming an Inca Link missionary, but was still raising his funds. We had a really big need this past summer, so Richie came and was able to continue raising his funds while he was on the field. Everyone who served with us in Costa Rica has met Richie because he is a Christ-like servant, driving through the crazy traffic so patiently. He is a great asset to the Costa Rica team.
  4. Miriam – She serves in Honduras working with the ministries in La Sierra and El Recreo. She is also someone where you just can’t help but notice her servant heart. She is always ready to do whatever it is that needs to be done, and she sees it before anyone has to say it. Thank you for all you do, Miriam!

As we close this time, we think about Emmanuel, God With Us. That’s what this season is all about. How is God with you? What has God done in you? When was the last time you saw that He was with you when no one else was? Celebrate Emmanuel, God With Us, and the birth of Jesus so many years ago that is still impacting us today. Have a great week!
