OUR Team

International mission work runs deep in my family. My dad grew up as a missionary kid in the jungles and city of Bogota, Colombia, while my grandfather was a missionary bush pilot. They were able to be a part of church planting in their area and continue to see it grow today. Growing up, it was not unusual for someone to pull out a snake skin or an alligator skull to strike up a compelling conversation from their time spent in the jungle. There are so many stories that have been shared over the years because of their time spent there as a family!

When I was in the 5th grade, my dad received a job opportunity in Costa Rica that moved my family internationally for nearly a year. This was my first time being exposed to living in another country, that country being Costa Rica. The time I spent there with my family was a really special time for us. We grew very close together and enjoyed getting to know a new culture together while my dad also continued to grow in his career. I made many friends and great memories with my family. After that short season, we headed back to the United States. Due to the time spent there as well as the friends and memories made, Costa Rica has always held a very special place in my heart.

As I’ve been developing my own professional career and navigating the direction that God is leading my life, the idea of relocating to Costa Rica slid back into the picture. A close friend of mine has family members actively serving as missionaries in Costa Rica. As I was trying to figure out my own little purpose in God’s bigger plan, asking what He actually wants me to do with my life, my friend suggested I serve with her cousins and be a missionary in Costa Rica! I said, “Sure! Why not!” After that conversation, I began praying and having conversations that have developed into a stronger passion for Costa Rica, leading me to serve there as a full time missionary beginning in the summer of 2024.

I’m excited to be a part of what Inca Link has already started in San Jose, Costa Rica! I will be working with the college ministry, and sharing the Gospel with students that need to have a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Though this will be my primary task, I will also have the opportunity to support our incoming global outreach teams throughout the year.

I’m so grateful, excited, and blessed to be a small part of this ministry, and I can’t wait to build deeper relationships with the people of Costa Rica!
