Internship costs vary per year. For current pricing, email the Intern Coordinator at rforman@incalink.org. The internship cost includes in-country ground transportation, lodging, meals, activities & ministry funds, travel insurance and more. Airfare is not included.
We have had interns ranging from 18 years old to 85 years old! Internships are limited to those who are 18 years old or older. If you will turn 18 during the time of your internship, we require a parent or guardian release form.
Internships can be arranged in most locations year-round, although some ministry sites will have specific block-out dates. The summer will be the most limited season for internship locations due to our Global Outreach Summer Intern Program and a high volume of Global Outreach Teams.
Pre-field training consists of an at-your-own-pace online program followed by a training meeting with the Intern Coordinator to review the training materials covered. Ministry Site specific training will be provided on-site with the missionary or national ministry leaders.
Ministry life looks different at each ministry site. Generally, you will be engaging with the missionary and national ministry leaders to support the work they are currently doing. Your week will flex towards the needs of the ministry leaders and how you can best serve the ministry team. This means that you will schedule your week to be available for the ministry schedule. You will also be involved in the local church that the missionaries or national ministry leaders attend.
