Happy Terrific Tuesday! We are in Trujillo, Peru, enjoying our time on our property in Inca Link Perú. We are so excited to be with the Volstads and the Westphals.
- What are you doing here? Westphals: We are here learning and practicing and being trained to be Global Outreach Coaches to help lead teams while on the ground in various ministry sites for Inca Link. Volstads: We’ve had the great opportunity to meet the wonderful missionaries down here and see firsthand the ministries they are involved in.
- We have another mission this month: picking something up for someone. Maybe you can pick up a meal for someone who can’t get out. Maybe you can pick up someone’s kids when they are having a busy week. Maybe you can pick up something off of the floor for someone that is hurting. Whatever it is, pick something up for your brother and sister this month.
- Let’s say someone wants to be a global coach or send a team down, what exactly does a global coach do? Westphals: One of the jobs a global coach has is to train and mentor the team members prior to the trip, during the trip while on the field, and even after the trip to help promote a mission mindset throughout their entire lives. Volstads: We also look forward to being the middle person between the team and the missionaries on the ground, helping on both sides, bringing our experience in to make your experience better.
- Maybe you’re in the States or Canada and thinking, “I love missions so much, I’d like to be a global coach.” This is a great opportunity, whether it is short-term or long-term, to come be a part of what God is doing; leading others in a mentorship program, and leading others to engage with God’s mission around the world.
